Cherry Set of Three Candleholders
Joseph Osolnik -Cherry set of three candleholders. Sizes 10 1/2 ", 8 1/2" , 6 1/2 ". These have a lacquer finish, are weighted with felt pads on bottom. Signed J Osolnik Original.
I grew up sanding many of the candleholders my father made and learned to turn them along the way. I was a potter for 20 years after graduating from the University of Tennessee and along with Wally Smith we opened The Potters Mark in Gatlinburg, TN in the early 70's. I moved to Berea, Kentucky in the late 70's and established Sunflower Clay Works Studio and The Promenade Gallery to display my work along with other craftsmen I represented in the gallery. After selling the gallery in 1988, I along with my partner Rodney Short developed The Oaks subdivision. At the present I am now located on my farm outside of Berea working in wood at my Osolnik Studios.
